Something New.........
Mid 50's, Wife, Mom, Mimi, Maker, Christian, Friend, these are all titles I have come to know as part of who I am. But Cross Stitch Designer, Sampler Reproductionist? No, I didn't see that coming, not at all. But I don't usually see those things, the things about myself. I would see that in you or someone else, but not me. There has been a lot of that in my 50's. I have surprised myself completely through all of the unexpected ventures that I have stepped into and I have to say, I am thoroughly enjoying every moment. Who knew that creating work for yourself could be this fun. Or that working until the wee small hours of the night could make you feel giddy with excitement dreaming of the conversations you'd have when you finally shared with the world what you've been doing quietly behind the scenes.
Today as I share my work with you that I've been keeping a secret, I am excited but I'm also nervous. All "something new" things I think include those emotions.
As this new leg of my journey begins, I have no idea what it will look like tomorrow, next week or next year, I'm going to take it one stitch at a time. One pattern at a time. One day at a time.
So, Here I am, lets begin!
